Leading the team responsible for energy management for the largest operator of converged services and one of the largest electricity consumers in Poland. Magdalena specializes in regulatory issues related to energy and sustainable development. She has over nine years of experience in consulting in the field of energy law and sustainability regulations for the biggest off-takers of electricity, natural gas, liquid fuels, solid fuels, and heat. Her area of expertise covers combination of legal and operational aspects in the field of energy purchasing. Magdalena is an expert in the Working Group for improving ESG reporting among Polish enterprises at the Polish Ministry of Finance. She is also an author of a concept of due diligence procedure for minimum safeguards, successfully conducted in two Polish biggest enterprises. Magdalena has broad experience in administrative proceedings before the President of the Energy Regulatory Office, including applying for licenses, and energy efficiency certificates and conducting obligatory energy audits as well as fulfilling their obligations regarding colored certificates. Advised in regulatory works on the EU Taxonomy Technical Screening Criteria and within Polish Energy Law with regards to Closed Distribution Systems. Magdalena has successfully conducted projects regarding mapping ESG gaps and executing strategies regarding compliance with SFDR, NFRD, and EU Taxonomy for global enterprises. She participated in negotiating and concluding cPPA agreements and implementing solutions for sustainable energy purchases. She has also practical experience in the field and regulation of the energy sector in Germany. Magdalena graduate of Jagiellonian University and Freie Universitaet Berlin, she is a member of the Warsaw Bar Association.

The number of cPPA agreements continues to rise year by year. In current European markets and in Poland, banks and financial institutions increasingly offer products directly related to cPPA agreements. Entities financing investments in new renewable energy sources are increasingly imposing specific requirements on cPPA agreements. Banks and financial institutions are increasingly involved in negotiating cPPA agreement provisions. The panel will discuss the main challenges associated with financing cPPA agreements. Discussion participants will particularly debate issues related to obtaining guarantees for cPPA contracts, which can serve as financing security for investments in new renewable energy sources. The panel will present the perspectives of financing institutions and producers.
