Agnieszka Chylińska is a legal advisor as Counsel, a member of the Renewable Energy and Public Procurement Team at DWF Poland, a lawyer specializing in transaction advisory in the field of energy, real estate and public procurement.
She specializes in complex infrastructure projects, including energy projects and those implemented in the public-private partnership (PPP) formula. cPPA contracts are associated with a lengthy and challenging negotiation process due to their relatively small number. However, it's essential to consider that these are long-term contracts, often spanning up to 15 years, so both parties aim to reach solutions that are beneficial to them as much as possible. cPPA agreements vary depending on the conditions of the renewable energy producers and consumers involved in such negotiations. Additionally, banks are increasingly involved in the negotiation process to ensure financing for new investments in renewables secured by negotiated cPPA agreements. Are these agreements indeed difficult to sign? If so, what can be done to expedite and simplify the signing process? Our panelists will discuss the practical aspects of conducting cPPA negotiations.
